Born in January 30, 1908, Sourya Hamets, a girl from Tales D. Manager, was destinated to a way of suffering, little did she know. She, since young, was, by own choice, a follower of the "shortener" style (A Leans' stylistic way of women, using short hair and shorter clothes, clothes in Leans are like a sign of wealth, the bigger and more detailed they are, more organized, workful and/or wealthy they were percieved to be), she put up a lot of effort on working and studying, often percieved as kind and generous, dedicated her life to others way more often than to herself. In January 1st, 1932 (23), she entered to the navy, she dreamed to have a husband and kids, but felt that first she should give to her country, then to herself, she had a plan to serve 5 years (Standard service) then go live her life, fully accomplished.
But in 1937 tensions were high against Japan, Leans held all active personnel, it was her last year of service, with the invasion of China by the Imperial Japanese Army, she would be held back in the navy, she was commanding a destroyer then, until tensions ceased. But World War II happened, she hated war and then more and more as she saw its cruel nature, she turned extremely angry towards anything related to war, with energetic rage.
At 1945 (37), she was already feeling sick and tired of this, as soon as Japan surrendered (September 2, 1945), she asked to bail, but couldn't even enjoy her freedom, as her sickness got worse, she lived in a hospital until the end of her life at January 31, 1946 (38), she never got married nor had kids, never made her own dreams come true, she hated war even more for taking from her the only time she had to do everything, taking her only chance to be happy herself, in the end, her pain echoed through centuries to come.
"I hate war, people kill each other because an ambicious coward decided that it did not have enough to itself" -Sourya, 1939 (Author's postcomentary: This was her comentary on Hittler's invasions on Europe, 27/04/2024).
Until nowdays, in Leans, people who died before reaching their goals for being too occupied on their duties are named as "Syndrom of Sourya". To her honor, every January 31st, couples ceremonially avoid demonstrate love, at least the ones who keep her memory alive, in honor to her pain.
"It took my chances to enjoy my life, it took everything from me, my most valuable resource: Time" -Sourya, December 1945
